The new family includes the TJA1410 for automotive applications and the TJF1410 for industrial control and building automation. These devices combine the simplicity of CAN buses with robust Ethernet data paths, significantly lowering system costs for large-scale deployments.

Key Advantages:

  • Simplified Architecture: Splits the traditional Ethernet PHY. The digital portion integrates into the host MCU or switch, while the PMD handles analog signaling, drastically cutting 10Mb Ethernet deployment costs.

  • High Performance: The TJA1410 is fully qualified for automotive functional safety. Both devices meet the latest Open Alliance TC14 specifications and offer excellent Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) for demanding environments.

  • Versatile Applications: Enables OEMs to extend Ethernet to body control, comfort, and zonal architectures in cars. In industrial settings, it facilitates the migration from legacy field buses to secure, scalable Ethernet for digitalization.
